Ramsey Funeral Home Obituaries
Chester Albert Dahlke, age 89 passed away March 4, 2010 after a short illness.  
He was born October 3, 1930, in Harbor Beach to Matilda (Cowper) and Frank 
Dahkle.  He attended the country school through the 8th grade, Chet married 
Alice Oswald on Sept 3, 1948. She preceded him in death in 1995.  He then 
married Genevieve (Roberts) Talaski in 1996.  She passed away in Jul 2000.  He 
was a veteran of WWII and served in the U.S. Army in Europe as a Medic.  He 
worked at Hercules until he retired in 1983.  He farmed most of his life.  He 
attended Zion Lutheran Church most of his life.  He is survived by two 
daughters, Conni (Randy) Griffee of Mansfield, OH and Charlene (Michael) Benson 
of Westmister, CO and two sons, Charles of Harbor Beach and Curtis (Carol) of 
Earlville, lowa.  Also by 9 granchildren: Corinne (Ken) Mentall, Cyle McClure, 
Steve and David Genson, Mike (Becky) Dahlke, Chuckie (Jamie) Dahlke, Michele 
Dahlke, Charity (Jeff) Kelchen, and Jeremy Dahlke, and 8 great grandchildren, 2 
step great grandchildren, a dear friend, Julie Scherer, several neices and 
nephews, and sister-in-laws Dorothy Oswald, Marylou Oswald, Thelma Oswald, 
Shirley Oswald and brother-in-law and sister-in-law Eugene and Jackie Oswald.  
he was also preceded in death by a son, Delmar Dahlke and a sister, Dorothy 
Link.  Funeral Serives for Chester will be Sunday, March 7, 2010 at 2 pm in the 
Zion Lutheran Church with Rev. David McCloskey officiating. Burial will take 
place Monday at 11 am in Rock Falls Cemetery. Visitation for Chester will be 
Saturday, March 6, 2010 fom 4-9 pm in the Ramsey Funeral Home of Harbor Beach 
and again on Sunday from 1-2 pm at the church before services begin at 2.  
Military Honors will be given by the VFW Post of Harbor Beach on Monday at the 
graveside service at 11.

Ubly; along with several grandchildren and great grandchildren
