Sister M. deChantal (Willerton McLean)
Adrian, Aug 23 -- A solemn mass of Requiem in Holy Rosary Chapel at St Joseph 
Academy here was held today for Sr. M. deChantal O.P. who died in St Clement 
Infirmary Aug 13.  The daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Mclean, Sr 
deChantal, whose name before entering religion was Willerton McLean, was born 
in Minden City, Nov 23, 1892. She entered the Dominican Community in 1909. Sr 
deChantal was professed in 1911. During her teaching career, she taught in 
schools in MI, IL, OH and FL. She is survived by one brother, Duncan McLean, 
Tyre, and two sisters, Mrs. Frank McCarthy, Bad Axe and Mrs. Edgar Pierce, 
Lansing. Among those who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Duncan McLean, 
Mr and Mrs. Wallace McCarthy and son, Wallace, Mr. and Mrs. John Hunt, Port 
Sanilac and Mrs. Vanis Reynolds, Deckerville.
