DesJardin, 66, died unexpectedly Friday, October 18, 1991, in Port Huron Hospital. He was born November 21, 1924, in Filion, Michigan, and had been a lifelong area resident. He married Arlene M. Roberts on October 22, 1947, in Ruth. Mr. DesJardin was a machinist for Grinnell Screw Products in St. Clair Shores for 38 years prior to his retirement in 1987. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He is survived by his wife, Arlene M.; a son and daughter-in-law, Denis and Melissa DesJardin of Romeo; a daughter, Dawn DesJardin of St. Clair Shores; three grandsons, Matthew, Nathan and Timothy DesJardin; a brother and sister-in-law, Maurice and Hazel DesJardin of Marysville; and several nieces and nephews. A scripture service is at 4 p.m. today in the Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. The Rev. Paul Higdon, Mercy Hospital Chaplain will officiate. Visiting is from 1 p.m. until service time today. Memorials may be made to the Mid City Nutrition Program.
