Earl Edmund Dunavant
July 28, 1930 - July 4, 2009
MAYFIELD, Ky. - Earl E. Dunavant, 78, of Mayfield died Saturday at Green 
Acres Healthcare Facility.  He was a retired inspector with Cadillac Motors 
in Detroit and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mayfield. 

He is survived by two daughters, Marilyn Buxton of Marshall, North Carolina, 
and Gail Parker of Garden City, Michigan; three sons, William Dunavant of 
Springtown, Texas, John Dunavant of Port Huron, Michigan, and Dennis 
Dunavant of Mayfield; his mother, Cecilia Dunavant of Redford, Michigan; one 
sister, Dorothy Dunavant of Redford; 10 grandchildren; and nine great- 
grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his father, John Edmond 
Dunavant.  

A memorial Mass will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in 
Mayfield with Father Ken Mikulcik officiating.  Interment will follow at St. 
Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery.  There will be no visitation.  Byrn Funeral 
Home of Mayfield is in charge of arrangements.
