Theresa (Hessling) Durand
August 2, 1939 - October 14, 2007
Theresa Durand, 68, of Bad Axe passed away Sunday, October 14, 2007 at the 
Huron County Medical Care Facility in Bad Axe.  She was born on August 2, 1939 
in Ruth, daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Emming) Hessling.   She married 
Victor Durand on October 29, 1960 in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Parisville.  
He preceded her in death in May 1994.   She was an avid bowler and enjoyed 
gardening and canning. 

She is survived by one son, Douglas (Cindy) Durand of Cadillac; three 
grandchildren, Becky Durand of Alexandria, Virginia, Sara Durand of Cadillac 
and Jeremy Durand of Mount Pleasant; two brothers, Clarence (Margaret) Hessling 
of Redford Township and Charles (Janet) Hessling of Port Austin; six sisters, 
Margaret Volmering of Bad Axe, Angeline Burkhard of Bad Axe, Rita (Robert) 
Ostrander of Twining, Rose Sherman of Warren, Audrey (Kenneth) Wolschlager of 
Bad Axe and Beatrice (Dan) Geiger of Bad Axe.   She was preceded in death by 
one sister, Elizabeth Landra. 

Services will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday, October 16, 2007 at the Kaufman Funeral 
Home in Bad Axe.  Burial will be in Cornell Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 
11 a.m. until the service time at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
