Loretta Marquette Durst

1Durst, Mrs. Loretta 1/8/1929 - 9/27/2014 Saginaw, MI Beloved mother, 
grandmother, great-grandmother and sister passed away Saturday, September 27, 
2014 at Covenant HealthCare Harrison. Age 85 years.  The daughter of the late 
Joseph and Johanna (Osowski) Marquette, Loretta was born January 8, 1929 in 
Detroit, Michigan. She married William J. Durst on July 18, 1950.  He 
predeceased her February 20, 2003. Loretta was employed at Kroger's until her 
retirement and she was of the Catholic faith. 

Surviving are three daughters and their spouses, Sharon and Dale Spencer, 
Johannsburg, Michigan; Barbara Bacon, Gulf Breeze, Florida; Pat and Ron Miller, 
Hemlock; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one brother and three 
sisters, Richard and Maryanne Marquette, Bernadine Kryck, Elaine and Virgil 
Manis, Judy and Dan Horner; several nieces and nephews.  Loretta was preceded 
in death by a three brothers, Marvin, Joseph and Harold.  Loretta's family 
extends their gratitude and appreciation to the staffs of Luther Manor and 
Arika at Covenant Healthcare Harrison Intensive Care Unit for their loving and 
compassionate care.

Funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 2, 2014 at The 
Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd., (between Shattuck and McCarty). Rev. Rob 
Richards will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.  Friends may 
call at the funeral home where the family will be present on Wednesday from 
2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. 
In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to 
consider memorials to the wishes of the family.
