Catherine (Booms) Elandt
September 8, 1928 - June 14, 2019
Catherine Elandt, age 90, of Monterey, California, passed away on June 14, 2019, 
after a brief illness.  She was born September 8, 1928, to the late Joseph Booms 
Jr. & Dorothy (Scholtz) Booms.  She married Ed Elandt on February 11, 1954.  He 
preceded her in death on December 29, 2010.

Catherine is survived by four children, Dan Elandt, Ronald Elandt, Donna Mary 
Cox, and Mary Ellen Peruga; four grandchildren; four sisters, Sister Bernie 
Booms IHM, Shirley Suida of Tuscon, Arizona, Margaret Goniwiecha of Ruth and 
Audrey Huska of North Carolina.  In addition to her husband, she was also 
preceded in death by her siblings, John Booms and Stella Kramer.  Catherine 
taught at Verona School, Track School, and OLLH for many years.  She moved to 
California in 1964, where she taught for many years.  A Memorial Service was 
held in California.   Published Huron County View July 11, 2019
