Emming, 80, Bad Axe, formerly of Ruth, died Monday October 28, 1991, at Huron Memorial Hospital, Bad Axe. He was born June 12, 1911 in Sherman Township, son of the late William and Philomena “Minnie” (Braun) Emming. He married Alma A. Tenbusch on June 2, 1931 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Helena. She preceded him in death August 1, 1986. He married Martha Pelot on May 20, 1989 at St. John’s Catholic Church, Ubly. Mr. Emming attended Track rural shool. He farmed and was a livestock trucker until 1978, retiring after 30 years. He was a cattle buyer for Gamer Meat Processors, Bad Axe for 15 years. Mr. Emming was a lifelong resident of Huron County, a parishioner of St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ruth, all his life and a parishioner at St. John’s Catholic Church, Ubly. Surviving are his wife, Martha, Bad Axe, six sons, Raymond (Patricia) Emming, Joseph (Roseann) Emming, Leo (Donna) Emming and Marvin (Regina) Emming, all of Ruth and Robert (Arlene) Emming and Leonard (Linda) Emming, both of Harbor Beach; five daughters, Shirley (Leo) Holdwick, Ruth, Mary Lou (Robert) Kreiner, Melvin, Marilou “Molly” (Gary) Geiger, Harbor Beach, Judy Emming, Clarksille, Tennessee and Susie (Terry) Aren, Garden City; 30 grandchildren; two step- children, Delphine (DuWayne) Wrubel, Armada, and Harvey (Delores) Pelot, Utica; five step-grandchildren; and one sister, Anna Volmering, Ruth. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Delores Kranz, 1989; one son Melvin Emming 1943; three grandchildren and one sister, Mary Hessling, Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. The Rev. Richard Bos?, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 6:30-9:30 p.m. today, noon-9:30 p.m. Wednesday and 9:30-10 a.m. Thursday at Zinger-Smigielski Funeral Home, Ubly. A parish scripture service will be 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
