Cyril Essenmacher  
December 10, 1901 - April 10, 1977
Cyril Essenmacher, 75, of 2680 East Sanilac Road, died unexpectedly Sunday in 
McKenzie Memorial Hospital, Sandusky, apparently from a heart attack.  He was 
born December 10, 1901, in Harbor Beach.  He married Sarah Booms May 6, 1925, in 
Helena.  Mr. Essenmacher was an area farmer 27 years.  

He is survived by his wife; five sons, Alvin Essenmacher, Carsonville; Arnold 
and Dennis Essenmacher, both of Sandusky; Ronald Essenmacher, Tampa, Florida, 
and Floyd Michael Essenmacher, Walled Lake; nine daughters, Mrs. Leo (Eileen) 
Wessel, Mrs. Bernard (Luella) Thompson and Lillie Essenmacher, all of Port 
Huron; Mrs. Harry (Regina) Watchowski, Warren; Mrs. Robert (Doris) Ganhs, 
Goodells; Mrs. Roger (Colletta) Lohr, Coolidge, Arizona; Mrs. Charles (Vivian) 
Ennett, London, Ontario; Mrs. Douglas (Linda) Adams. Engelwood, Colorado, and 
Mrs. Robert (Connie) Kizer, New Baltimore; three brothers, Walter Essenmacher, 
Harbor Beach; Norman Essenmacher, Ruth, and Raymond Essenmacher, East Detroit; 
three sisters, Mrs. Wilfred Booms, Harbor Beach; Mrs. John Weber, Kingston, and 
Mrs. Michael Weber, Ubly; 45 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. 

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Sandusky.  
The Rev. Paul Bala will officiate.  Burial will be in St. Anthony Cemetery, 
Helena.  Remains are in Mavis Funeral Home, Sandusky, where visiting hours begin 
at 3 p.m. today.  The Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral
