Arnold Clarence Essenmacher April 30, 1929 - August 23, 1996 Arnold C. Essenmacher, 67, died Friday, August 23, 1996 in Sevierville, Tenn. He was born April 30, 1929 in Harbor Beach, to the late Cyril and Sarah (Booms) Essenmacher. He lived in Sandusky for 40 years. Arnold married Mary Beatty on May 12, 1956 in Sandusky. She passed away March 14, 1978. He remarried Louise Dixon on January 29, 1983 in Sandusky. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. Arnold worked for Yale Rubber 35 years, after retirement in 1994 he worked part-time for Farmer Jacks. He was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church and VFW Post 2945 in Sandusky where he was the present Quarter Master and a former Post Commander. He enjoyed gardening, fanning and coaching little league. He is survived by his wife, Louise Essenmacher, sons, Stacy and Sherry Essenmacher, Anthony and Bobbi of Holt, Rich and Robin Bolsby; daughters. Susan and Thomas Carney of Madison Heights, Sharon and Dennis Minard; brothers, Ron of Tampa, Florida, Mike of Walled Lake and Dennis; sisters, Eileen Wessel of Port Huron, Regina Watchowski of Warren, Lue Thompson of Port Huron. Doris Ganhs of Port Huron. Vivian Ennett of London. Ontario, Linda Adams of Englewood, Colorado, Connie Kaiser of Capac and Lilly Rader of Lexington; and eight grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, brothers Albert, and Alvin, sisters, Rita, Susan and Colette and a granddaughter Mary Elizabeth Essenmacher. Funeral services will be held at II a.m. Wednesday at the St Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Stanley Surman officiating. Interment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held from I to 9 p.m. today at the Marsh Funeral Chapel and 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church. VFW Memorial Service will be at 7 p.m. tonight at the funeral home.
