Floyd Michael Essenmacher
August 13, 1937 - September 16, 2019
Floyd Michael Essenmacher of Walled Lake was born August 13, 1937 in Harbor 
Beach, Michigan to Cyril and Sarah (nee: Booms) Essenmacher.  He died September 
16, 2019 at the age of 82.  
 
Mr. Essenmacher is the beloved husband of 56 years to Judith (nee: Dombrowski).  
Loving father of Matthew J. (Josie) Essenmacher, Gretchen Marie (the late Jodie 
Kinard) Essenmacher and Amanda (John) Thiel.  Dear grandfather of Sophia, Jaden, 
Jackson and Alexander. Brother of Eileen Wessel, Louella Thompson, Connie (Bob) 
Kaiser and Lily (Larry) Rader.  Preceded in death by 12 siblings.  He is also 
survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

Mr. Essenmacher was a professional bearded Santa with Michigan Association of 
Bearded Santas (MAPS) for many years and he was International President of the 
Craftsman’s International Printing Association.  Mr. Essenmacher also worked for 
the Detroit Tigers as an usher for 17 seasons. 

Funeral mass from St. William Catholic Church 531 Common Street Walled Lake, 
Saturday, 9:30 AM (In State 9:00 AM).  Friends may visit Lynch & Sons Funeral 
Home 340 N. Pontiac Trail Walled Lake (3 Blks. S. of Maple Rd.) Friday 3-8 PM 
(Vigil Service 7 PM).  The Detroit Club of Printing House Craftsmen is honored 
to carry on Michael Essenmacher’s legacy by assisting his family to set up a 
scholarship for prospective students in his memory.  Donations should be sent
