John Andrew Fisher
August 20, 1863 - April 4, 1947
JOHN A. FISHER - Funeral services were held Monday in St. Mary's Catholic 
Chnich, Parisville, for John A. Fisher, 83, lifelong resident of this community, 
who died Friday morning after a king illness.  Burial was in the church 
cemetery.  Mr. Fisher was born August 20, 1863, in Minden Township.  He lived in 
Minden City the past 17 years.  He was a member of the Board of Review of Minden 
township more than 30 years.  Mr. and Mrs. Fisher observed their sixieth wedding 
anniversary Jan. 10th.  

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Sophia Fisher; four sons, Martin Fisher, Ubly; 
Julius and Edmund Fisher, both of Detroit, and Stanley Fisher, Mindcn City, a 
daughter, Mrs. Clara Oborski, Bad Axe; 15 great grandchildren; three brothers, 
Walter Fisher, Minden City; Joseph Fisher, Ruth, and Anthony Fisher, Gaylord, 
Michigan, and a sister, Mrs. Mary Swartz, Minden City.  Published Minden City 
Herald Friday April 11, 1947.

Note:  Born to Michael & Anna (Foucka) Fisher.  Married Sophia Sofka January 17, 
1887 in St. Mary Catholic Church in Parisville.
