P.) Erma. six-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Fisher, farmers at Smiths Corners, near here, was drowned late Wednesday when she fell into an open cistern in the kitchen. The father was taking water from the cistern and the little daughter, returning from school, ran through the kitchen, not noticing the trap door was open. Her body was fished from the cistern with a rake. Published Lansing State Journal Thursday March 17, 1927. Additional Comments: Note: Born in Paris Township to Martin & Alice (Oberski) Fisher.
