Fraelich, 68, of Port Huron died suddenly at home Wednesday, September 4, 2002. He was born May 9, 1934, in Richmond, to Agnes Erie and August Fraelich. He married Judy Clor on February 4, 1961, in St. Joseph Catholic Church. He retired from the city of Port Huron in 1994 after 30 years of service as Water Filtration Plant supervisor. He is survived by his wife, Judy; one daughter, Toni (Joseph) Jakubiak of Port Huron; one son, Benjamin of Tifton, Georgia; one granddaughter, Elizabeth; one grandson, Nathan; two brothers, Emil (Lena) Fraelich of Grand Blanc and Ronald (Gail) Fraelich of Kimball Township; one sister, Oakley Mitchell of Port Huron; sister-in-law, Alberta Fraelich of Prudenville; brother-in-law, James Hamlett of Nashville, Tennessee; several nieces and nephews; and several golfing buddies, Duewain Gragowski, Ray Bauer, Charlie McComb and George Putze; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Adeline, Noreen, Effie and Ruth; and brothers, George, Albert and Gustav. Richard enjoyed golfing, cards, woodworking and yard work. He especially enjoyed his grandchildren.
