William Frantz, 61
Ubly, Aug 9 – William J Frantz, 61, gasoline dealer here the last 19 years, died 
Sun in Detroit Osteopathic Hospital after a brief illness. The remains will be 
in the Edward Zinger funeral home until funeral services at 2:30 p.m. Wed in 
First Presbyterian ch. Rev Robert L Morton will officiate. Burial will be in 
Valley Cemetery where Ubly lodge NO 384, F & A M of which Mr Frantz was a past 
master, will conduct burial ritual. Business places in Ubly will be closed 
during the funeral. Mr Frantz is survived by his widow, Pearl, four sons, Dr. 
Douglas, Willis, Elwood and Harold Frantz, all of Detroit; three daughters, Mrs. 
Raymond Clensy, St Ignace, MI and Mrs Merle Nelson and Mrs Henry Krug, both of 
Ubly; three sisters, Mrs Harry Gearing, Battle Creek and Miss Orpha Frantz and 
Mrs Howard Loucks, both of Ubly, and two brothers John Frantz, Ubly an George 
Frantz, port Huron.  He was born Sept 21, 1886, in Bingham Twp. He served many 
years on the Ubly Village Council and was active in civic affairs.
