Pauline Agnes (Pionk) Ginther  
December 8, 1936 - February 7, 2022
Pauline (Pionk) Emerick Ginther, age 85, Port Hope Michigan went home to her 
Lord on Monday, February 7, 2022. She was born on December 8, 1936, in Harbor 
Beach, to the late Paul and Harriett (Pelath) Pionk.  Pauline married Oren 
Emerick on September 1, 1956.  They were married for 27 years and raised 7 
children.  On April 13, 1991, Pauline married Earl Ginther.  He preceded her in 
passing on August 10, 2018.   Also preceding her in passing were her children 
Jeff, Dinah, Beth, granddaughter Jodie and great-grandson Donavin.

Pauline is survived by her first husband, Oren Emerick (Mickey Shivley) of St. 
Helen; four children, Matthew Emerick, West Branch, Neal (Colleen) Emerick, 
Apache Junction, Arizona, Holly Emerick, Bad Axe, Paula Emerick, Portland, 
Oregon.  She is also survived by daughter-in-law Brenda Emerick, Bad Axe; son-
in-law, Bill Bailey, Port Hope; ten grandchildren, eleven great-grandchil dren; 
sister June (Clifford) Essenmacher, Elyria, Ohio, brother Ronald (Virginia) 
Pionk, Port Huron, many beloved nieces, nephews and friends.

A celebration of Pauline's life and appreciation honoring her friends and 
neighbors will be held on Saturday, September 24th, 2022 from 1:00pm – 5:00pm at 
the Grindstone Port Hope Sportsmen's Club, 6101 Huron City Road , Port Hope, 
Michigan.  Her family wishes to thank Harbor Beach Community Hospital Staff, the 
community of Port Hope, emergency workers, friends and neighbors for selflessly 
assisting her in times of need.  Published by Huron Daily Tribune on September
