Martha (Klama) Glaza
July 28, 1904 – January 31, 1961
UBLY – Mrs. Martha Glaza, 56, wife of Aloizy Glaza, died Tuesday in Wayside 
Nursing Home, Elkton, after a long illness.  Born July 28, 1904, in Paris 
Township, Mrs. Glaza was a lifelong resident of Huron County.  She and Mr. Glaza 
were married November 19, 1923, in in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Parisville.  
Mrs. Glaza was a member of Holy Rosary Society of the church.  Mr. & Mrs. Glaza 
lived since May, 1959, in Ubly.  

Mrs Glaza is survived by her husband, three sons, Arthur Sr., Minden City; 
Norman, Hazel Park, Michigan, and Marshall, Warren, Michigan’ two daughters, 
Mrs. Angeline (Isadore) Pyrek, Ubly, and Mrs. Eleanor (Steve) Vrobel, Madison 
Heights, Michigan;  20 grandchildren, four sisters, Mrs. Agnes (Clarence) Pfaff, 
Mrs. Josephine (Alois) Slavik and Mrs. Gertrude Guza, all of Ruth, and Mrs. 
Bertha Salowitz, Ubly, and three brothers, Peter and Aloisv Klama, both of Ruth, 
and Frank Klama, Detroit.  

Funeral services will be conducted at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in St. John Catholic 
church In Ubly by Rev. Zygmunt Gaj.  Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery at 
Parisville. The remains are in Zinger funeral home, Ubly, where the Rosary will 
be recited at 8:30 p.m. Thursday by Holy Rosary Society and at 8:30 p.m. by 
Father Gaj.  Published Port Huron Times Herald Wednesday February 1, 1961.

Notes:  Parents:  Fred and Carrieline (Mazure) Klama.  Her sister Josephine 
spelled her last name Slavick.
