Edward J. Glaza
February 19, 1881 - August 11, 1973
UBLY-Edward J. Glaza, 92, an Ubly resident since 1952, died unexpectedly 
Saturday in his residence.  He was born February 19, 1881 in Paris Township.  He 
married Julia Smalla in 1918.  She died June 16, 1949.  He then married Mrs. 
Mary Glaza in 1951, and she died October 31, 1966.  He was retired from the Ford 
Motor Company.  He is survived by his brother, Walter Glaza, Ubly, and many 
nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will be heid 10 a.m. Monday in St. John's Catholic Church, 
Ubly.  Rev. Bernard Skornia, pastor, will officiate.  Burial will be in the 
church cemetery.  Remains are in the Zinger Funeral Home, Ubly, where a rosary 
will be recited 2 p.m. today.  Times Herald (Port Huron, Michigan) Sunday August

Notes: Born to Frank & Laura Briolat Glaza.  Although his obituary states he 
married Julia in 1918, the marriage records show their marriage date as January 
11, 1915.
