All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/mi/mifiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Norma Novick fox2157@aol.com November 12, 2020, 9:50 am Minden City Herald Friday July 1, 1910 Mateusz (Matthew) Glaza September 28, 1838 - June 25, 1910 Matthew Glaza, father of Joseph and Peter Glaza, Paris village, died on Saturday June 25, 1910 at his home three miles north and one-quarter mile east of Minden City, at the age of 71 years, 7 months and 28 days. Mr. Glaza was born in Germany on the 28th day of September, 1838, and came to this country 44 years ago and settled on the farm in Paris township where he continued to reside until his death. He was the father of ten children, six of whom survive him, vis: Mrs. Wm. Leppek, of Paris township; Mrs. M.T. Carroll, of Chicago; Anthony, Joseph, Peter and Edward, all living in this vicinity. He had been in poor health for about four years, but had been able to do a little light work around the farm until last New Years, since which time he had been confined to the house. The funeral was held Tuesday in St. Mary's church in Parisville, conducted by Rev. Fr. Mueller.
