Barbara (Pollum) Glaza October 17, 1905 - March 5, 1995 Mrs. Barbara Glaza, 89, of Paris Township, died Sunday, March 5, 1995 at the Huron County Medical Care Facility in Bad Axe after a long illness. She was born October 17, 1905 in Paris Township, daughter of the late George and Rose (Osantowski) Pollum. She married Alexander "Alec” Glaza on November 7, 1922 at St Mary's Catholic Church in Parisville. He preceded her in death on December 27,1980. She attended St. Mary’s Elementary School. She worked with her family on the farm. She was a member of St. Mary's Rosary Sodality and the St. Mary's Senior Citizen Group. She was a lifelong parishioner of St. Mary's. Surviving are a daughter, Joanne Glaza of Ruth; two brothers, Herman "Harry" Pollum and his wife Reta of Ubly and Stanley Pollum and his wife Grace of Sterling Heights; and two sisters, Victoria Wrubel of Trenton and Frances Schurer of Eastpointe. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Simon, Edward and, Julius Pollum. Funeral services were Wednesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Parisville. Rev. Michael Dunckel, pastor, officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. Arrangements were conducted by the Zinger-Smigielski Funeral Home of Ubly. Published Minden City Herald Thursday March 9, 1995.
