He was born February 23, 1914 in Ruth, son of the late Anthony and Josephine (Dropiewski) Glaza. He married Theresa Buchkowski on October 12, 1940 at St. Mary's Church of Parisville. He attended St. Mary’s Elementary school and graduated from 8th grade from Paris District #1. He was a lifelong resident of Huron County. He had been a parishioner of St. Mary's of Parisville for 83 years. He farmed with his wife until his retirement in 1984. Surviving are his wife, Theresa, of Ruth; three daughters, Mildred Block and her husband, Kenneth, of Lexington; Eleanor Shaw of Ann Arbor; Lillian Abrams and her husband, William, of Owosso; two sons, Richard Glaza and his wife, Roxie, of Shelby Township; Carl Glaza and his wife, Lori, of Jackson; 12 grandchildren, Ronald, Ernest, Randy, Kenneth Jr., Block, Cynthia Davis, Patrick and Teresa Shaw, Ricky and Boyd and Amber Glaza, Shawn and William Abrams, Nicholas Glaza; 6 great grandchildren, Alena, Cassandra and Jannett Block, Regina and Adam Block, Amanda Boyd; one brother, Elmer Glaza. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Alexander and Roman Glaza; six sisters, Anna Coughlin, Julia Schumacher, Agnes Depcinski, Minnie Schemka, Irene Osentoski and Evelyn Lemanski. Funeral services were held on Saturday, June 7 at SL Mary's Catholic Church of Parisville. Rev. Michael Dunckel, pastor, officiated. Burial was held in the church cemetery. Arrangements were conducted by the Zinger- Smigielski Funeral Home of Ubly. Published Minden City Herald Thursday June 19, 1997.
