Gertrude l. (Pyrek) Glaza
July 7, 1900 - January 28, 1981
UBLY Gertrude L. Glaza, died unexpectedly Wednesday, January 28, 1981, in 
her home, apparently from a heart attack.  She was born July 7, 1900, in 
Sigel Township.  She married John C. Glaza April 20, 1920, in Parisville.  
Mrs. Glaza was a member of the Holy Rosary Sodality of St. Mary's Catholic 
Church, Parisville.  

She is survived by her husband; three daughters, Mrs. Archie (Susie) Grifka, 
Ubly, Mrs. Beatrice Sobczak, Bad Axe, and Mrs. Clements (Edna) Fisher, 
Roseville; two sons, Walter, Ubly, and Roman, Ruth; a sister, Mrs. Catherine 
Goniwiecha, Harbor Beach; 20 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.  A 
daughter, Mrs. Rose Kosal, died in 1950.  

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Mary's Catholic Church.  
The Rev. Stanley Surman, pastor, will officiate.  Burial will be in the 
church cemetery.  Visiting hours begin at 4 p.m. today in the Zinger Funeral 
Home.  The Holy Rosary Sodality will recite a rosary at 8 p.m. today in the 
funeral home.  A parish rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Friday in the 
funeral home.  Published Times Herald (Port Huron, Michigan) Thursday 
January 29, 1981.
