McComb and Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home April 2021 James R. Glaza September 1, 1957 - April 5, 2021 James R Glaza, 63, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly on April 5, 2021. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, son, uncle and friend. He was born on September 1, 1957, in Bay City, Michigan, to the late Robert J. and Phyllis M. (nee Sniezek) Glaza. He was a faithful member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Fort Wayne, and worked 45 years at General Motors in the skilled trades (Millwright and Electrician), and was a member of UAW Local 2209. James graduated from Bay City Central High School, earned a bachelor’s degree (Business Management and Finance) from Western Michigan University and a post graduate fellowship in International Studies from Tianjin University, China. He had a black belt in karate and enjoyed hunting, fishing, bicycling, boating, kayaking, traveling, and spending time with his family especially with his daughter, Crystal (fiancé Ben) and grandson, Austin (father- Tony) Koehl. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Terri L (nee Pintoski); daughter, Crystal L; siblings, Steven (Debbie), Debbie (Grant) Gehringer; Michelle (Tom) Jasman, and Matthew (Shannon), grandson, Austin Koehl; uncle, Billy (Nancy); mother in-law Charmaine Pintoski; and sisters in-law, Clara Glaza, Tina Glaza, Pamela Bragiel, and Kelly (Alan) Hamme. He was also survived by 19 nieces and nephews and his “BUNCH” brothers. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers Ronald, Theodore, father in-law Lawrence Pintoski, and nephew, Joshua Jasman. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:30 am, on Friday, April 9, 2021, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 1502 East Wallen Road, Fort Wayne, with visitation from 9:30 am until the time of service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to fwtrails.org 300 E. Main St., Fort Wayne, Indiana 46802, or to the St. Mary Magdalen Oratory at St. Vincent De Paul Church.
