William John Glaza 
May 12, 1955 - January 25, 2024
WILLIAM “BILL” GLAZA, 68, of Ubly, passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at 
his home surrounded by his loving family.  He was born on May 12, 1955 in Bad 
Axe, son of the late Edward and Viola (Bukoski) Glaza.  He married Betty Kociba 
on April 10, 1982 in Las Vegas.

He worked at Active Industries, then Sobczak Construction, General Cable, Thumb 
Oil Seed in Ubly, and then retired from Gemini in Ubly.  He enjoyed deer 
hunting, turkey hunting and fishing.  He enjoyed going to hunting camp in the UP 
with his family and friends.  He also liked listening to Polka Hour and Ladies 
Line.  His friends would come to his man cave in his shed to drink beer and 
visit.  He did his Euro mount there for both himself and his friends.  He also 
enjoyed gardening and mowing his large lawn.

Bill is survived by his wife, Betty Glaza of Ubly; two sons, Brad Glaza of Ubly 
and Bryan (Bree Ann) Glaza of Columbus, Ohio; two sisters, Katherine Bukoski of 
Millington and Theresa (Steve) Murdock of Ubly; one brother, Vern (Diane) Glaza 
of Ubly; many nieces, nephews, and friends.  Bill was predeceased by his 
brother, Frank Glaza and brother-in-law, Lavern Bukoski.

Bill’s family received guests for visitation on Sunday, January, 28, 2024 from 
12-4 p.m. at the Kaufman Funeral Home in Bad Axe.  Published Huron County View 
Thursday February 1, 2024.
