Dolores A. (Murawski) Goniewicha
April 13, 1933 – June 23, 2016
Dolores A. Giniewicha, age 83, of Harbor Beach, joined her grandson in heaven 
on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at her home with her family at her side with hospice 
care.  She was born April 13, 1933 in Filion.  Dolores was the daughter of the 
late Edward & Agnes (Woycehowski) Murawski.  Dolores and Leonard Goniewicha 
were united in marriage on June 25, 1955.  Dolores was a parishioner of Holy 
Name of Mary Parish in Harbor Beach. She was a cook at OLLH School for 10 years 
and was a retired employee of the Harbor Beach Community Hospital Dietary 
Department.  She enjoyed traveling, going to casinos, working with her flowers 
and gardening, going to garage sales, riding her bicycle and was a terrific 
baker, especially making Twisters.  Dolores was also a member of the Red Hat 
Society.

She is survived by her husband, Leonard of Harbor Beach and daughters: Cynthia 
Goniewicha of Harbor Beach, Brenda Vacekonis and her husband Mike of Evans, 
Georgia, Vicky Kozfkay and her husband Dennis of Parisville, Colleen Goniewicha 
of Harbor Beach, Donna Lempert and her husband Tony of Harbor Beach. Dolores is 
also survived by her grandchildren, Stacey Vacekonis, Richard Vacekonis, 
Jessica Kozfkay, Meagan Kozfkay, Jarred Long, Brandon Long, Logan Lempert and 
Kaitlyn Lempert, and her sister Irene Krozek of Bad Axe.  Dolores is preceded 
in death by a grandson Ross Vacekonis.

A funeral mass will be Thursday, June 30, 2016 at 11:30 a.m. in Our Lady of 
Lake Huron Catholic Church of Holy Name of Mary Parish in Harbor Beach with Fr. 
William Spencer officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation 
will be Thursday only at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services 
at 11:30 a.m. Ramsey Funeral Home of Harbor Beach is handling the
