Margaret Doreen (Booms) Goniwiecha
February 26, 1941 - December 25, 2023
Margaret Doreen Goniwiecha, born February 26, 1941, passed away on December 25, 
2023.   She was the daughter of the late Dorothy Schultz and Joseph Booms, Jr.   
Margaret married the late Leslie Voorheis in 1961 and had 2 children; Leslie 
preceded her in death in 1964 and she then married the late Raymond Goniwiecha 
in 1965 and had five children.  

She is survived by her children, Timothy (Elizabeth) Voorheis, Laura (Donald) 
Wolverton, David (Michelle) Goniwiecha, Karen Cooley, John (Leslie) Gonway, 
Joseph (Kim) Goniwiecha & Stephen (Rachel) Goniwiecha, and 13 grandchildren.  
Margaret loved her nursing career and decided to donate her body to Wayne State 
University.  Published Huron County View January 4, 2024.

Note:  Mother’s maiden name was Scholtz, not Schultz as stated in her obituary.
