Bad Axe, May 28 -- John M Goretski, 78, lifelong resident of Huron County, died 
Tuesday night in his home in Sheridan Twp. Mr. Goretski was born May 22, 1874 in 
Port Austin. He lived the last 17 years in Sheridan Twp. He is survived by his 
widow, Mary Ida, a son, George and two daughters, Mrs. Roy Collins and Mrs. Earl 
Collins, all of Bad Axe, a foster son, John Lakony, Detroit; 13 grandchildren 
and four sisters, Mrs. Stanley Stefaniak, Roseville, Mrs. Frank Ignash, Detroit, 
Mrs. Steve Katzmarek, Grindstone City and Mrs. Martha Ignash, Harbor Beach. 
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday in St Columbkille's Cath 
ch in Sheridan Twp by Rev. Edward R. Werm. Burial will be in the church 
cemetery. Remains are in William T Colon funeral home.
