Gouine, 76, of, Minden City, passed away Monday, August 13 2001 at her residence. She was born July 26, 1925 in Parisville to the late John and Clara (Kubacki) Hill. Julia was a graduate of a country school. She then moved to work in the Detroit area before returning to Parisville. She worked at Michigan Peat and did home decorating for many years. Julia was a nurses aide at the Sandusky Medical Care and the Deckerville Hospital, currently doing home care at residences. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church of Parisville and a member of die Rosary Sodality. She assisted in the St. Mary Parisville Picnic for many years. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post in Ruth. She is survived by two sons, Dennis Badger and his wife, Anne, of Ubly, and Douglas Badger and his fiancee Laura Goetze, of Ubly; three daughters, Debra Molitor and her husband, Dr. James, D.D.S., of Harbor Beach, Cindy Klee and her husband, David, of Harbor Beach, and Dawn Broderick and her husband, Mark, of Clarkston; 18 grandchildren; and 6 greatgrandchildren; two sisters, Adeline Jurgelonis of Ubly, and Marion Bodalski of New Baltimore. Julia was preceded in death by three sons, Kenneth, Gary and Thomas; one daughter, Denise; one brother, Gerald Hill; and three husbands, Edison Badger, Jerry Stirs and Henry "Bud" Gouine. Funeral Mass was Friday, August 17, at St. Mary Catholic Church of Parisville. Rev. Charles Hammond, pastor, officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. Arrangements were handled by the Zinger-Smigielski Funeral Home of Ubly.
