Margaret (Alent) Grifka
May 12, 1918 – November 7, 2007
Mrs.  Margaret "Margie" Grifka, 89, of Ubly passed away Wednesday, November 7, 
2007 at Courtney Manor in Bad Axe.   Margie was born on May 12, 1918 in 
Parisville to the late Xavier and Laura (Trepkowski) Alent.   She married 
Sylvester Peruski on October 30, 1940 at St.  Mary Catholic Church in 
Parisville.   He preceded her in death on January 20, 1965.  She married Cass 
Grifka on May 21, 1966 at St.  Mary's in Parisville.   He preceded her in 
death on October 24, 2004.   Margie was a parishioner at St.  John Catholic 
Church in Ubly for 40 years where she was a member of the St.  John Christian 
Mothers Circle No.  4, Queen of Angels.   She was a member of the Rosary 
Sodality at St.  Mary Catholic Church in Parisville.   Margie was an avid card 
player, had a green thumb for gardening and enjoyed quilting, cooking, 
traveling around the country.   She loved people, especially her family and 
friends.  

Margie is survived by three sons: William Peruski and his wife, Jan, Robert 
Peruski and his wife, Connie, Thomas Peruski and his wife, Nancy, all of Ubly; 
ten grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren; two brothers: David Alent and 
his wife, Mary Ann and Eugene Alent and his wife, Floy, both of Bad Axe; one 
sister, Helen Ulfig of Bad Axe; one sister-in-law, Rose Jaskowski and her 
husband, Ervin, of Minden City.   Margie was preceded in death by two 
brothers: Earl Alent and his wife, Meg and Chester Alent; one sister, Alma 
Peruski and her husband, Daniel.  

Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m.  on Saturday, November 10, 2007 at St. John 
Catholic Church in Ubly.  Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery in Parisville.
