Arthur John Grifka
December 3, 1917 - January 27, 1984
Arthur J. Grifka, 66, Bingham Township, died unexpectedly Friday at his 
residence after suffering an apparent heart attack.  He was born December 3, 
1917 in Parisville. son of the late Frank and Laura (Peruski) Grifka.  
Arthur Grifka and Miss Susie Glaza we married September 22, 1940 at St. 
Mary's Catholic Church, Parisville.  He was a tool and die maker for Camdal 
Precision, Roseville, retiring in 1960 after 16 years of service.  He moved 
to Ubly in September, 1980 and was a parishioner at St. John's Catholic 
Church, Ubly. 
Surviving are his wife, Susie; two daughters, Mrs. Gary (Joyce) LaNava of 
Clifford, and Mrs. John (Lorraine) Stabli, Lafayette, California; five 
grandchildren; six sisters, Catherine Wojtalewicz, Mrs. Julius (Clara) 
Trepkowski, all of Ubly, Mrs. James (Irene) Maurer, Warren, Mrs. Isadore 
(Rita) O'Berski, Ruth, and Mrs. Jack (Bernice) Gryczka, Plains, Illinois, 
and four brothers, Raymond Grifka, Warren, Richard Grifka, Flint, Nobert 
Grifka, Troy, and Eugene Grifka, Baton Rouge, Louisana.  He was preceded in 
death by one brother Herbert Grifka in 1949 and one sister Josephine 
Chinoski in August 1976. 

Services were Tuesday at St. John's Catholic Church, Ubly.  The Rev. Patrick 
O'Connor, pastor, of St. John’s Catholic Church, Ubly.  Burial was in the 
church cemetery.  Arrangements were made by the Zinger Smigielski Funeral 
Home, Ubly.  Published Minden City Herald, Thursday February 2, 1984.
