Guza May 2, 1919 – March 4, 2009 Philip G. Guza, 89, of Cass City passed away Wednesday morning, March 4, 2009. He was born in Smith Corners on May 2, 1919, a son of John and Emma (Kapler) Guza. On November 16, 1963 he married Honora Mary Markle in Warren. Philip was a member of St. Pancratius Church. He proudly served with the U.S. Army and was a master sergeant during World War II in the European Theater. He was a member of VFW Post No. 3644, Cass City. His hobbies included restoring vintage autos and he was a member of the Model A Club and of the Gas Engine Club. He retired from Rinke Chevrolet in Centerline where he was an auto body specialist. Surviving along with Mary, his loving wife of 45 years are a daughter, Catherine and her husband, Timothy Dingman of Holly; and grandchildren, Philip William Dingman and Timothy John Dingman. Also surviving are his brothers, Raymond Guza of Oak Beach, John (Joy) living in Verona and Robert (Patricia) of Gagetown; and sisters, Emma Howard of Caseville and Mary (Paul) Grab of Cape Coral, Florida; and sister-in- law, Theresa Guza of Rapson. Preceding him in death were brothers, Thomas in infancy, Jerome, Clair, and Frank; a sister, Virginia Crachiola and a brother-in-law, Robert Howard. A memorial service will take place at a later date and will be announced by Gagetown Funeral Chapel. Memorials may be directed to VFW Post No. 3644, Cass City.
