Gertrude (Klama) Guza
November 11, 1908 - October 12, 1988
GERTRUDE GUZA Gertrude Guza, 78, of Parisville, died Thursday, October 13, at 
Huron Memorial Hospital, Bad Axe, after a long illness.  She was born November 
11, 1908 in Paris Township, daughter of the late Frederick and Caroline (Mazure) 
Klama. She married Leon E. Guza November 11, 1933, at St. Mary's Catholic 
Church, Parisville.  He preceded her in death August 22, 1960.  Mrs. Guza 
attended Priemer Rural School and St. Mary's Parochial School.  She was employed 
at factories in Detroit during the late 1920s and farmed with her husband in 
Paris Township until retiring in 1975. 

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. George (Mary Ann) Klee, and Mrs. Vincent 
(Bertha) Booms, both of Harbor Beach, and Mrs. James (Anna) McIntosh, Almont; 
one son, Leon Guza, Ruth; 16 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; seven step-
grandchildren; 18 step great grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Agnes Pfaff and 
Mrs. Josephine Slavick, both of Ubly and Mrs. Bertha Kucharczyk, Ruth; and one 
brother, Peter Klama, Cass City.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Martha Glaza; and three brothers, 
Joseph Klama, Aloisy Klama and Frank Klama. 

Services were 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Parisville. The 
Rev. Leonard Wilkuski, pastor, officiated with burial in the church cemetery.  
Arangements were directed through the Zinger-Smigielski Funeral Home.  Published 
Harbor Beach Times Thursday October 20, 1988.
