Gwisdalla June 5, 1933 - December 23, 1999 Mr. Alvin B. Gwisdalla, 66, of Ubly and formerly of Utica, died Thursday morning, Dec. 23, 1999, in Haslett. He was born June 5, 1933, in Bad Axe, he son of the late Frank and Martha (Zulka) Gwisdalla. He was a graduate of the Rapson Country School and an area milk hauler. He moved to the Detroit are as R.C. Mahon as a lift operator. He did road construction as a grade checker and also worked as a mechanic at Bristle Cone Nursery in Utica for 10 years, He retired in 1995 and returned to Huron County in 1996. He was a resident of Utica from 1964 to 1996. He was a former member of St. Lawrence Cathoic Churfh of Utica and a parishioner of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Parisville. He was a member of the Thumb Veteran's Organization No. 1. He is survived by one son, Douglas Gwisdalla and his wife, Dawn, of Lake Orion; three daughters, Catherine Wosik and her husband, Kenneth, of Utica, Nancy Bloodworth and her husband, Christopher, of Utica, and Kimberley Goodrich and her husband, Glenn, of Utica; six grandchildren, Kenneth Wosik, Jr., Allen Wosik, Christopher Bloodworth Jr., Andrea Bloodworth, Amanda Gwisdalla and Nicholas Gwisdalla; one brother, Cass Gwisdalla and his wife, Mary, of Shelby; and one sister, Celestine Blankenship of St. Clair Shores. Mass of Resurrection was conducted on Tuesday, Dec. 28, 1999, at St. Mary's Catholic Church of Parisville. The Rev. Ronald Wagner, pastor of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church of Ruth, officiated.
