Virginia Grace (Tobin) Hackel
July 27, 1914 – October 18, 2011
VIRGINIA GRACE HACKEL (nee Tobin) 97.  Wife of Harvey (deceased).  Mother of 
Ross Hackel (late wife Beverly), Elaine Porter, Kathryn (Kathy) Elster (Donald) 
and Gail Floyd (Wes); aunt of Lynn Kuennen (Bruce); grandmother of 15 and great 
grandmother of 17.  Moved to North Olmsted in 1938.  Was a member of St. 
Richard Catholic Church.  Worked at Sherwin-Williams.  Later lived in Westlake, 
then in Lakewood before residing at West Bay Care Center.  

Funeral Mass and Interment Saturday, November 5, 11:00 am at St. Mary of the 
Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 2640 Stoney Ridge Rd., Avon. Rt 90 to 
611 South across Detroit (Rt 254).  Family receiving guests & RHH residents at 
The Richard Hilliard House for a luncheon at 2:00.  The family suggests 
memorial contributions to the Alzheimer's Association c/o West Bay Care & 
Rehab, 27601 Westchester Parkway, Westlake, OH 44145.  Published in The Plain

Norma’s Notes:  Virginia was born July 27, 1914 and died October 18, 2011 to 
Ross Ernest Tobin, Mary E. Ruddy.  She married Harvey A. Hackel, son of Arthur 
J. & Elizabeth N. (Terbrack) Hackel on September 12, 1934.  Both Harvey and 
Virginia are buried in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Avon, Lorain County, Ohio.
