Mary (Mazure) Helewski
March 9, 1885 -  October 12, 1972
Mrs. John Helewski UBLY - Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Helewski, 87, who 
died Thursday in Huron County Medical Care Facility after a long illness, 
were held at 9:30 a.m. today from St. John's Catholic Church, Ubly.  Rev. 
Bernard Skornia, pastor, officiated. 

Born March 9, 1883, in Paris Township, she was a lifelong resident of Huron 
County.  She lived in Ubly the last nine years.  She was married to John 
Gonowicz on February 2, 1904.  He died July 10, 1942.  She was married to 
John Helewski on March 31, 1944.  He died August 16, 1946. 

She is survived by two stepsons, Edward Heleski and Nick Heleski, Bad Axe; 
three stepdaughters, Mrs. Frank Rutkowski and Mrs. Agnes Czewski, both of 
Ubly, and Mrs. Clarence Stieber, Warren; and 33 step-grandchildren. Burial 
was to be in Our Lady of Lake Huron Cemetery, Harbor Beach.  Published 
Minden City Herald Saturday October 14, 1972.

UBLY Funeral services were conducted Saturday morning in St. John's Catholic 
Church, Ubly, for Mrs. John Helewski, who died Thursday in the Huron Medical 
Care Facility, Bad Axe, after a long illness.  Rev. Bernard Skornia 
officiated.  Burial was in Our Lady of Lake Huron Cemetery, Harbor Beach.  
Mrs. Helewsk was born March 9, 1883 in Paris Township.  She and John 
Gornowicz were married February 2, 1904.  He died July 10, 1942.  On March 
31, 1942, she and John Helewski were married.  Mrs. Helewski lived the past 
nine years in Ubly. 

Surviving are two step-sons, Edward Heleski, Ubly, Nick Helewski, Bad Axe; 
three step-daughters, Mrs. Frank Rutkowski and Mrs. Agues Czewski, both of 
Ubly, and Mrs. Clarence Sieber, Warren, and 33 step-grandchildren.  Rosary 
was recited Thursday evening at Zinger Funeral Home.  Published Minden City 
Herald Thursday October 19, 1972.

Rosalia (Sofka) Mazure.  Married John (Gornowicz) Gorney in St. Mary 
Catholic Church in Paris Township.  Married John Helewski in Our Lady of 
Lake Huron Catholic Church in Harbor Beach.
