Clarence B. Hessling
October 25, 1930 - September 9, 2012
Clarence B. Hessling, 81, of Livonia, formerly of the Ruth area, passed away 
Sunday, September 9, 2012, at his home under hospice care.  He was born October 
25, 1930, in Ruth, to the late Charles and Mary (Emming) Hessling.  Clarence 
and Margaret Nitz were united in marriage October 9, 1954, in Harbor Beach.  He 
worked for Chrysler as a Pipefitter for 30 years, retiring in 1992.

Clarence is survived by his wife, Margaret; children, Barbara Hazelton and her 
husband, Bruce, Stephen Hessling, Connie Harper and her husband, Milt, and 
Bruce Hessling and his wife, Maryann; five grandchildren, Evan, Seth, Nathan 
Alex and Brendan; six sisters, Margaret Volmering, Angeline Burkhard, Rose 
Sherman, Rita (Robert) Ostrander, Audrey (Kenneth) Wolschlager and Beatrice 
(Daniel) Guigar; and one brother, Charles (Janet) Hessling Jr.  He was preceded 
in death by sisters, Elizabeth Landra and her husband, Alvin, Theresa Durand 
and her husband Victor; and brothers-in-law, Al Volmering and Harley Burkhard.

Funeral mass for Clarence will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 14, at Sts. Peter 
and Paul Catholic Church in Ruth, with Fr. Don Eppenbrock officiating. Burial 
will follow in the Church cemetery.  Visitation for Clarence will be from 1 to 
8 p.m. Thursday, September 13, at the Ramsey Funeral Home of Harbor Beach and 
from 10 a.m. until the time of service Friday in the church beginning. A vigil 
service will take place at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.  Memorials may 
be given to the Hospice of Michigan and the Right To Life.
