Leona Sarah (Geiger) Hessling  
February 10, 1923 - June 2, 1975 
Mrs. Leona Hessling, 52, died Monday in Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, after a 
long illness.  She was born February 10, 1923, in Sherman Township.  She and 
Elmer Hessling were married August 6, 1941.  Mrs. Hessling was a parishioner of 
St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Helena.  She is survived by her husband; two 
daughters, Mrs. Donna Romzek, Warren, and Miss Bridget Hessling, Harbor Beach; 
seven sons, Austin Hessling, Saginaw, Warren Hessling, Rosebush, and Richard, 
Mark, Kevin, James and Steven Hessling, all of Harbor Beach; seven 
grandchildren; her mother, Mrs. Anna Geiger, Ruth; a sister, Mrs. Joseph Siemen, 
Harbor Beach, and three brothers, Clem and Bernard Geiger, both of Ruth, and 
Leroy Geiger, Sandusky. 
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Anthony's Church, 
Helena, with Rev Edward Yatsko, pastor, officiating.  Burial will be in the 
church cemetery'. A Rosary will be recited at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday in Ramsey 
Funeral Home.  Published Times Herald (Port Huron, Michigan) Tuesday June 3, 
1975.

Note:  Born to Barney & Anna (Artman) Geiger.  Married Elmer in Sts. Peter & Paul 
Catholic Church in Ruth.
