Henry Lawrence Hessling
May 20, 1896 - January 3, 1984
Henry Hessling, 87, Harbor Beach, retired Sherman Township farmer, died Tuesday, 
January 3, in Harbor Beach Community Hospital after a long illness.  He was born 
May 20, 1896 in Sherman Township, son of the late Henry and Mary (Luster) 
Hessling.  Henry Hessling and Miss Adelaide Terbrack were married September 26, 
1916 in Ruth.  She preceded him in death January 14, 1979.  He was a parishioner 
at Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church, Harbor Beach.

Surviving are one son, Elmer Hessling, Harbor Beach, two daughters, Mrs. Bernard 
(Florence) Booms and Mrs. Alvin (Kathleen) Peruski, both of Harbor Beach; 38 
grandchildren; 63 great grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Margaret Eppenbrock, 
Bad Axe, Mrs. Ella Grandchamp, Utica, Mrs. Dorothy Holdwick, Ruth, and Mrs. 
Loretta Ginter, Harbor Beach, and one brother, Marcus Hessling, Flushing.  Two 
daughters, three sisters and one brother preceded him in death. 

Services were 11 a.m. Friday in Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church, Harbor 
Beach.  The Rev. Raymond Oswald, pastor, officiated with burial in St. Anthony's 
Catholic Church Cemetery, Helena.  Arrangements were made by the Ramsey Funeral 
Home, Harbor Beach.  Published Harbor Beach Times Thursday January 12, 1984.
