John Paul (Lackowski) Hill
May 6, 1894 - January 18, 1977
PARIS TOWNSHIP - John P. Hill. 82, died Tuesday in Veterans Administration 
Hospital, Saginaw, after a short illness.  He was born May 6, 1894, in Paris 
Township, Huron County, where he was a lifelong resident and farmer.  He 
married Clara Kubacki September 6, 1921, in Parisville.  Mr. Hill was a 
World War I veteran.  He was a Paris Township justice of the peace for 28 
years until he lost his eyesight in a farm accident August 5, 1957.  He was 
also a DeKalb Seed Corn dealer for many years.  Mr. Hill was a member of 
Post 5740, VFW, Parisville. 

He is survived by his wife; a son, Gerald Hill, Ruth; three daughters, Mrs. 
Joseph (Adeline) Jargelonis, Troy, Mrs. Arthur (Marian) Bodalski, Warren, 
and Mrs. George (Julia) Gouine. Mayville; 16 grandchildren; 12 great-
grandchildren; two brothers, Frank Lackowski, Ubly. and Ira Lackowski, 
Detroit; and six sisters, Mrs. Bertha Abraham, Ubly, Mrs. Cass O'Parker, 
Inkster, Mrs. John Ballance, Romulus, Mrs. Edward Kusak and Josephine 
Lackowski, both of Detroit, and Mrs. Sylvia Richard, Warren. 

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in St. Mary's Catholic Church, 
Parisville.  The Rev. Stanley Surman, pastor, will officiate.  Burial will 
be in the church cemetery with military rites by Post 5740.  Remains are in 
Zinger Funeral Home, Ubly, where visiting hours will begin at 2 p.m. today.  
The Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
