He was born June 27, 1942 in Ruth, son of Mabel (Winkel) Holdwick and the late Charles Holdwick. Mr. Holdwick was a graduate of Sts. Peter and Paul Elementary School, and served in the U.S. Army. He was formerly employed by Malloy Manufacturing in Novi, and was recently employed by Uniflow Company of Walled Lake. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and of the Bisons of Wixom. Surviving are two sons, William “Billy” of Chicago, and Randy and his wife Diane of Ohio; two daughters, Mrs. Michael (Cheryle) Duffy of Madison Heights and Jamie Lynn Bernia of Romeo; two grandchildren; his mother, Mabel of Ruth; his special friend Jodie Baldridge of Milford; two sisters, Mrs. Richard (Rita) Warchuck, Sr. of Hale and Mrs. Daniel (Gladys) Osantowski of Madison Heights; three brothers, Charles Holdwick, Jr. and his wife Irene of Roseville, Kenneth and his wife Karen of Warren, and Norman of Lexington. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles, Sr., on June 21, 1981. Services were 10:00 a.m. Friday at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Ruth. The Rev. Richard Bokinski, pastor, officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. Arrangements were made by the Zinger-Smigielski Funeral Home of Ubly.
