Martha (Trepkowski) Jaroch
January 8, 1894 - June 27, 1983
Mrs. Jaroch was born January 8, 1894 in Paris Township, daughter of the 
later Joseph and Ottilia (Gwisdalla) Trepkowski.  She and Frank Johnston 
were married in 1923 in Carsonvllle.  He died in 1926.  She married Joseph 
H. Jaroch July 11, 1938 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Parisville.  He 
preceded her in death May 24, 1976.  She was a resident of Ubly and a 
parishioner at St. John's Catholic Church, Ubly, since 1938, and a member of 
St. Monica's Circle No. 2 of the church's Confraternity of Christian 
Mothers. 

Surviving are three daughters. Mrs. Edward (Elenora) Vandenberg, Owosso, 
Mrs. Lew (Batrice) Rutkowski, Warren, and Mrs. Thomas (Frances) Victor, 
Harper Woods; one son, Lambert Jaroch, Ubly, 14 grandchildren; 16 
greatgrandchildren; four sisters, Lora Alent, Ubly, Mrs. Edward (Blanche) 
Makowski, Ruth, Mrs. Marshall (Bertha) Swartz, Minden City, and Mrs. John 
(Margaret) Klebba, Cass City, and four brothers. Julius Trepkowski and Ira 
Trepkowski, both of Ubly, Walter Trepkowski, Bad Axe and Joseph Trepkowski, 
Ruth.  One brother, Leo Trepkowski, and one sister, Clara Cook, preceded her 
in death.  Published Minden City Herald Thursday July 7, 1983.


Additional Comments:
Note:  Her actual marriage record shows she married Frank Johnston on June 
9, 1919 and not in 1923.  According to his death certificate Frank actually 
died July 29, 1923 and not in 1926 as stated in her obituary.  Her brother 
Leo Trepkowski, also went by the name of Leo Stanton.
