Jaroch, 87, a retired Ubly businessman, died today in Harbor Beach Community Hospital after a long Illness. He was born June 29, 1888 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Jaroch. He owned and operated meat and grocery stores in Gagetown, Bad Axe, and St. Charles until 1921, when he moved to Ubly and operated another store. He retired in 1947. Mr. Jaroch was one of the original organizers of the Ubly Community Club, and a member of the Ubly Foxhunters Club. He and Barbara Koroleski were married in 1912 in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Dwight. She died November 24, 1937. He and Martha Johnston were married July 11, 1938 in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Parisville. He is survived by his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Edward Vanderberg, Washington, Mich.; Mrs. Lew Rutkowski, Warren; and Mrs. Thomas Victor, Detroit; a son, Lambert Jaroch, Ubly; three brothers, Lawrence Yaroch, Port Austin; and Peter and Aloysius Yaroch, Phoenix, Ariz.; a sister, Mrs. William Meyer, Port Austin; 14 grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. A son, Victor Jaroch, died in a plane crash September 5, 1947. The remains will be at the Zinger Funeral Home, Ubly, after Tuesday at 10 a.m. A rosary will be recited Tuesday at 8 p.m. in the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in St. John's Catholic Church, Ubly. The Kev. Edward P. O'Reilly, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary's Church Cemetery, Dwight. Jarock Grocery Store, Ubly, will closed from Tuesday noon until Thursday morning in honor of Mr. Jaroch.
