(Osantowski) Jaskowski June 6, 1920 – July 28, 2004 Laura R. Jaskowski, 84, of Ubly, passed away on Wednesday, July 28, 2004, at Tendercare in Cass City. She was born on June 6, 1920 in Parisville, daughter of the late Peter and Rosie (Czewski) Osantowski. She married Arthur Jaskowski on September 2, 1939 in St. Mary Catholic Church in Parisville. He preceded her in death on November 12, 1993. She was a member of St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church in Ubly where she had worked for several years. She was a member of St. John's Christian Mothers Circle One. She enjoyed embroidery and cooking for family and friends. She is survived by one son, Theodore Jaskowski and his wife, Norma, of Ossineke; three brothers, Martin Osantoski, of Bad Axe, Archie Osantoski and his wife, Marie, of Bad Axe, Peter Osantoski and his wife, Ella Mae, of Warren; four sisters, Susie Kociba, of Bad Axe, Virginia Partaka, of Harbor Beach, Martha Staniski, of Redford, Rose Schumacher, of Flint; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by six brothers, Roman, Theodore, Robert, Fabian, Adam, and James Osantoski; one sister, Minnie Nowiski; and one granddaughter. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 31, 2004, at St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church in Ubly. Officiating will be Fr. Joseph Griffin, pastor. Interment will be in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Parisville. Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. today at the Kaufman Funeral Home in Bad Axe, and from 9 a.m. until the service time at 10 a.m. on Saturday at the church. A rosary by the St. John Christian Mothers will be offered on Friday at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
