JAMES JEZEWSKI 
September 12, 1940 - March 7, 2013 

 
James Jezewski
James Jezewski, age 72 of Burtchville, formerly of Cass City, passed away 
Thursday, March 7, 2013 at his home under hospice care.  He was born on 
September 12, 1940 in Cass City, the son of the late Walter and Helen (Joos) 
Jezewski.
Jim served in the US Army.  Jim and Joann Booms were united in marriage on 
December 25, 1994 in Cass City.  He worked as a police officer for Cass City, 
and the Tuscola County Sheriff Department.  He served over thirty years on the 
Cass City Fire Department and ambulance service, and was fire chief for six 
years.  Jim also worked as a security officer before retiring.  He enjoyed 
camping and hunting, and loved going for road trips to watch the freighters 
travel through the river.
He is survived by his wife, Joann Jezewski of Burtchville, and granddaughter 
Megan Jezewski of Alaska.  He was preceded in death by his son, Jason Jezewski 
and a brother, John Jezewski.
Funeral Mass for Jim was held at Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church of 
Harbor Beach, with Fr. Andy Booms who officiated. Cremation followed in Sunset 
Valley Crematory of Bay City.  Arrangements by Ramsey Funeral Home, Harbor 
Beach.
