Jason Kristopher Jezewski October 25, 1971 - September 7, 2008 Master Sgt. Jason Kristopher "Ski" Jezewski, 36, of Great Falls, Montana, died Sunday, September 7, 2008, in Great Falls, Montana. He was born October 25, 1971 in Marlette, Michigan to James and Elaine Jezewski. He is survived by his wife, Machelle Jezewski of Great Falls, Montana; daughter Meagan Jezewski of Anchorage, Alaska; his father, Jim (JoAnn) Jezewski of Buritchville, Michigan; and his mother, Elaine (Manuel) Thies of Owendale, Michigan. Other survivors include his mother-in-law, Donna Peters; brother-in-law, Kelley Wiker; nieces Kayla and Amanda Crouch, all of British Columbia, Canada. Jason was born in 1971 in Marlette, Michigan and raised in Cass City, Michigan. After graduating from Cass City High School in 1990, he promptly enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. Following basic training, he was assigned to Homestead AFB, Florida, performing aircraft maintenance on F-16 aircraft. He also served the U.S. Air Force at K.I. Sawyer AFB, Michigan, Barksdale AFB, Louisana, Kusan AFB, Korea, and Aviano AFB, Italy. While at Aviano AFB, he achieved the rank of master sergeant and began his first sergeant career. In 2005, he was reassigned to Malmstrom AFB, Montana, where he served as first sergeant for the 341st Security Support Squadron and the 341st Maintenance Operations Squadron. While stationed at Malmstrom, he was deployed to Afghanistan in 2007, as a first sergeant. His distinguished service was recognized with the Meritorious Service Medal, the Air Force Commendation Medal and Air Force Achievement Medal. His gregarious laughter and vivacious personality will be missed in the Malmstrom AFB and Great Falls communities. "Ski" was a huge NASCAR enthusiast and in particular, a Jeff Gordon No. 24 fan. In keeping with his love of racing, Ski was in charge of security at Electric City Speedway for three seasons. Ski, together with his wife, Machelle, loved camping, hiking, and skiing. He also enjoyed singing karaoke and playing with their pets. A Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 5, 2008 in Cass City United Methodist Church with Rev. Paul Donelson officiating. Memorials may be made to the Jason K. Jezewski Memorial Fund with First Liberty Federal Credit Union, 6200 3rd Ave. N., Great Falls, Montana 59401.
