John H Jurges
Ubly, June 16 - John H Jurges, 81, prominent Bingham Twp farmer and native 
pioneer, died today in his farm home after suffering a stroke two weeks ago. Born 
Oct 1, 1871 in Bingham Twp, he was a lifelong resident. He and Miss Emma Stanke 
were married Nov 30, 1898. Mr. Jurges is survived by his widow, two 
sons, Walter, who lives with his parents, and Earl, Bad Axe; three grandchildren 
and two sisters, Miss Mary Jurges, Ubly and Mrs. George Mills, Bad Axe; Remains 
are in the family residence where funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm Fri.  
Funeral services also will be held at 2 p.m. Fri in Ubly Presbyterian 
church. Rev Robert L Morton will officiate. Burial will be in Valley cemetery.
