The remains were removed from the steamer at Marquette, MI and will arrive here late today to e taken to his home. Funeral services will be held Thurs morning in Our Lady of Lake Huron Cath ch. The hour has not been set. Rev James J Marvin will officiate. Burial will be in Rock Falls Cemetery. Mr Kanthak is survived by his widow, Mrs Agnes Wrubel Kanthak, two daughters, Mrs Marion Duda, Detroit and Miss Dolores Kanthak, port Huron; a brother, Marti Kanthak, Harbor Beach, also a Great Lakes sailor; five sisters, Mrs Helen Stickler and Mrs Emma Veldman, both of Harbor Beach; Mrs Lucy Ashton and Mrs Elmer Smith, both of Romeo and Mrs Lee Facer, Port Hope; six nephews and three nieces. He was born Nov. 21, 1898 in Harbor Beach. He sailed the Great Lakes since he was 16 years old.
