(Messing) Kirsch January 14, 1915 – June 13, 2000 Margaret M. Kirsch, 85, of Harbor Beach died Tuesday, June 13, 2000, at Courtney Manor after a long illness. She was born January 14, 1915, in Ruth to the late William and Mary (Emming) Messing. She married Wilbert A. Kirsch on August 31, 1935, at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church of Ruth. He preceded her in death on July 22, 1993. Margaret was a graduate of Sts. Peter & Paul Elementary School. She farmed with her family and worked at Clements Manufacturing in Minden City, retiring in 1977. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and family visits. She was a former officer and honorary member of St. Anthony's Altar Society. She worked at the annual dinners for many years. Margaret is survived by two daughters, Delores Arndt and her husband, Kenneth, of Harbor Beach and Joyce Puvalowski and her husband, Raymond, of Ruth; two sons, Donald Kirsch and his wife, Karen, of Milford and Richard Kirsch and his wife, Linda, of Harbor Beach; one daughter-in-law, Linda Kirsch; one son-in- law, Eugene Gosdzinski; four brothers, Robert Messing of Harbor Beach, Norman Messing and his wife, Eleanor, of Bad Axe, James Messing and his wife, Ula- Rae, of Spring Hill, Florida, Clem Messing and his wife, Donna, of Ruth; three sisters, Cecelia Van Dalen of Sandusky, Mary Essenmacher of Harbor Beach, Gladys Priemer of Ruth; 23 grandchildren; 29 great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Kenneth; one daughter, Marlene Gosdzinski; two brothers, Wilfred and Charles Messing; two grandchildren; two sisters, Genevieve Kosal and an infant baby. Mass of Christian burial will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 17, 2000, at St. Anthony Catholic Church of Helena. The Rev. Charles Hammond will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. There will be a rosary by the Altar Society at 8 p.m. on Thursday and a parish wake service at 8 p.m. Friday in the Zinger- Smigielski Funeral Home in Ubly. Visitation is from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. today, 1 to 9:30 p.m. Friday and 8 to 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
