Casimir Norman Klama
November 23, 1942 – July 14, 2017
Casimir Norman Klama, Sr., age 74, of Ruth, passed away at his home on Friday, 
July 14, 2017.  Casimir was born in Paris Township on November 23, 1942, son of 
the late Joseph and Balbina (Spitza) Klama.  He married Donna Hessling on 
October 14, 1983 in Detroit.  Casimir was a member of Knights of Columbus.  He 
enjoyed playing cards, golfing, fishing, hunting and his lawn mower.  He 
especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Casimir is survived by: Wife Donna Klama of Ruth.  2 Sons-Casimir Klama of 
Deckerville and Dean (Nicki) Klama of Traverse City.  2 Daughters-Sandy Klama 
of Lake Orion and Tammy Klama of Traverse City.
Stepchildren-Michael (Wendy) Romzek of Ruth, Cheryl (Kris) Kelly of Grand 
Blanc, Scott Romzek of Holly.  
Brothers and Sisters-Beatrice (Martin) Osantoski of Bad Axe, Louise Pionk of 
Ubly, Peter (Marilyn) Klama of Columbus, Irene (Charles) Holdwick of Ferndale, 
Sabina (Robert) Wrobel of Lake, Michigan, Sophie Davis of Deckerville, John 
(Cheryl) Klama of Manchester, Michigan.  Grandchildren- Samuel Klama, Bill 
Oliver, Kaila (Dan) Cooper, Emily Kelly, Elyssa Kelly, Kaitlyn Oliver, Cody 
Romzek, Kyle Romzek, Allison Romzek, Andrew Romzek and Zachary Romzek.  Great-
Grandchildren-Sophia Oliver, Isabella Oliver, Ariana Cooper and Wyatt Romzek.  
Brother and Sister-in-laws-Austin (Eleanor) Hessling of Caro, Richard (Nancy) 
Hessling of Harbor Beach, Warren (Sharon) Hessling of Clyde Township, Mark 
Hessling and special friend Angela King of China Township, James (Judy) 
Hessling of Bad Axe, Kevin (Louise) Hessling of Ubly, Steve Hessling of St. 
Petersburg, FL and Bridget (J. Douglas) Brown of Roscommon. 
Casimir was preceded in death by: Parents-Joseph and Balbina Klama.  Son-Samuel 
Klama.  Brother-in-laws-John Pionk, Elmer Pionk and Phil Davis.  Sister-in-law-
Charlotte Hessling.  Nephews-Jerry and George Pionk.

A memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at 12:00 pm at St. 
Isidore Parish-St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Parisville. His family will 
receive guests for visitation on Tuesday at the church from 10:00 am until the 
Mass at 12:00 pm.  A Knights of Columbus rosary will be offered at 11:30 am at
