Born January 5, 1926, in Ruth, he was the son of Frank Joseph and Rose (Lautner) Klee. He married Barbara Dore June 29, 1946, at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church of Ruth. She died September 11, 1977. He married Mary Ann Guza June 2, 1979, at Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church of Harbor Beach. A graduate of the "Pumpkin Center" Country School, he moved to the Detroit area to work in 1942, where he lived until 1969. He was in the U.S. Navy from 1944-46 and served overseas. He worked at Crawford Door in Detroit for many years and most recently was employed at Valley Gear in Bad Axe as a consultant. A parishioner of Our Lady of Lake Huron Church of Harbor Beach, he was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #11432 and of Our Lady of Guadalupe Society of Croswell. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann of Harbor Beach; 2 sons, Donald and wife Cathy of Bad Axe and Ronald and wife Sandra of Port Hope; 5 daughters, Susan Siemen and husband Carl of Harbor Beach, Bonnie Klee of Harbor Beach, Connie Lorkowski and husband Frederick of Elkton, Donna Lorkowski and husband David of Elkton, Ruth Horner and husband Timothy of Grand Rapids; 5 stepchildren, Mary McIntosh and husband Rory of Ubly, Sharon Neal and husband Jim of Pigeon, Denise Lapka of Bad Axe, Karen Jarson and husband Steven of Essexville and Pamela Lemke of Venice, Florida; 20 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Irene Dore of Palms and Dorothy Oswald of Ruth; 3 brothers, Charles Klee and wife Anna of Harbor Beach, Lawrence Klee and wife Marie of Ruth, and Leo Klee and wife Ila of Ruth. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Mary Booms and Helen Nickel, and 3 brothers, Marcus "Bud", Edward and Frank Klee. A Rosary was said Thursday by the Harbor Beach Knights of Columbus Council #11432 and a Scripture Service was held Friday, both at the Zinger-Smigielski Funeral Home, Ubly. Mass of Resurrection was held Saturday at Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church of Harbor Beach. A graveside military service in the church cemetery was held by the Harbor Beach VFW Post #9344.
